What is the basis of your position? The U.S. govt. gives large TAX CREDITS for installation of solar energy systems and is probably supporting scientific research in this area with lots of tax dollars. So ... where are you coming from?????

I do not see any resistance from governments but do not see governments as big consumers. Perhaps the question would be better posed as why are humans resisting solar?
You see despite what you have been told, governments have NO MONEY and are not consumers, they just steal other peoples money to waste on stupid stuff.
BTW, solar is not economically viable for 99.9% of energy situations.
Do you know how to do a simple economic analysis?
Humm, guess not.

The government has put in place lots of funding and tax incentives. The government does not invent things like renewable energy. It encourages private companies to put these technologies into use. One of the firehouses where I live has solar panels. It is up to people everywhere to make these changes. We have to keep insisting.

Bush profits from oil, why do u think the U.S is in Iraq? If he supports solar energy, the demand for oil will go down, lowering the prices, so he wont make as much $.

The oil companys have people working for them who buy out, block, and lobby so that the technologies cannot be put into place. We have had electric cars for 20 years now. Until somone puts these people in their place they will continue to run this planet.

while they give tax incentatives for those who utalize the technology available, there is no profit in it for the oil, auto, and energy companies, which are the largest lobbist in the country.
