I did take prozac after I had my first child. The time of day that you take it at doesn't matter. The drugs are supposed to remain in your system for 24 hours. The important thing is to try and take it at the same time everyday so the amount of drug in your system is constant.

I have taken Prozac ,but for depression, not as a sleep aid.
You pretty stressed out person.
Look at info on some of the possible side effects and make informed decision.
Seems like every med has down side.
Ever see commercials for some of those anti depressants?
"Side effects may include headaches. vomiting, constipation,
lightheadedness, confusion, light sensitivity, tremors, weight gain, and sexual dysfunction"
BUT YOU'LL FELL SO MUCH BETTER

I didn't do Prozac for long.
Only when I was in early recovery for alcoholism.
Avatar ain't for nothing.
I marched in misery parade.
The misery parade are those people circling the block early in the morning. waiting for the bar or package store to open.

I don't take prozac, but I was subscribed Zoloft in the last year. I was told to take it before bed, so that I didn't feel so antsy at night, and i could sleep without horrible night mares.

I'm off Zoloft now, 'cause I lost all the emotions I had.

Try it at night. If you find you're waking up early, talk to your doc, and he might suggest taking it in the morning instead. I don't think the timing is as big a deal with fluoxetine, but some other meds are really time sensitive.

Different combos work for different people. A little of several or a lot of one - it all depends on the person. I'd think if your symptoms are not very severe, you could just take one. Sounds like your doc might be in the pocket of the drug companies.

Sure, Prozac will also make you drowsy. I think you should take it when you get up in the morning. That way you will experience the benefits when you need them, during the day. You aren't likely to suffer from depression while you sleep. JMO

Sounds like way too much to me! Xanax is some seriously wicked crap for serious issues.

I take Zoloft for anxiety and it works amazingly.

By looking at some of your other questions, it sounds like you like to take pills. I would get a new doctor that reads your chart before giving you any more pills. You are mixing a deadly cocktail of meds. I hope your are not mixing with alcohol
