I will be taking a flight in the near future and was wondering if bottled perfume is allowed on board since the rule of no liquids on flights now.Im wondering if they would allow any type of perfume since it is a liquid..or should i play it safe and just leave the perfume home?

You can take it on your trip, just not in your carry on bag. I just got back from MN and I put ALL of my liquid and gel stuff in my checked bag. Anything found on you or your carry on that is aerosol, liquid, gel, etc. will be disposed of on the spot. The only exceptions are baby formula and certain medicines in very small amounts. If you like your perfume, either leave it in your suitcase or leave it at home. They are really strict about this new policy. You can't even walk through security with a drink. But you can buy one once you pass through. Then you can't take that one on the plane with you. Doesn't make sense to me, but it is highly enforced.

You can take a 30ml bottle of perfume on board in your carry on if it is in a bottle and fits within a 1 litre clear plastic baggie. When traveling internationally, you can now take a 50 ml bottle with you on board in your carry on in a plastic baggie with all your liquids. And in some cases now, even 100 ml bottles are acceptable (100 ml is acceptable when flying in/out of the UK and EU).

To play it REALLY safe I would say that liquids must be in separate containers and no single item may contain more than 30 ml of liquid. Items that contain liquids must be carried in one transparent plastic bag with a maximum capacity of one litre. The plastic bag must be resealable. Each passenger is allowed to carry one transparent plastic bag onto the aircraft.

But if you are still worried, pack your scent in your checked baggage, or why not collect fragrance samples from magazines! You can rub these samples on during the flight and when you land for a quick fix.

Or, even better, buy a fragrance while in the airport at the duty free! Then you are ensured that it is flight approved, plus it's a great way to immortalize your trip by wearing a new scent! You'll always be reminded of your trip or that special place every time you where it!

Yes you can. But it will have to be a travel size perfume. In a 3 oz container or smaller, inside a clear plastic one quart ziplock bag. This is only if you want to take it on board. If not you can check in with your bags any size perfume

Do yourself, and everyone behind you in line, either mail your liquids ahead of time or just buy new stuff when you land.

Things to carry on a plane:

SMALL bag
snacks for the trip...no liquids
magazines
books
medications you may need IN FLIGHT....anything else, mail ahead.
cell phone or blackberry....shut OFF

use the KISS theory and
Keep
It
Simple
Silly!

if i have well understood the rule about liquids only applies to hand luggage so I'm guessing there should be no problem if you put your bottle of perfume together with the rest of your luggage.

No liquids. Your safest bet is to leave it at home. Sorry. I just was on a plane, and no liquids.

Yes, you can take it... but cannot put it in your hand bag.. has to be checked in. I fly 2-3 times a week and check everything in my suitcase -- my cologne, deodrant, toothpaste, shaving cream, etc. Can u imagine how many business travellers would be stinking if they could not carry their toiletries at all!

No, you can't take it on the plane. You can't take shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste, lotion, medicine, beverages, some make - up and so forth.
