I have been feeling bloated,pressure on my bladder and gassy this past 1 1/2 weeks.. Been very tired these past couple of days as well... Did some tests last Wed to rule out a bladder infection...I'm due to start my period today, but haven't. I took a home pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative. I'm not having the normal cramps and headaches that usually occur right before my period is due.. could I be pregnant and the hormone is just not being detected yet?

Yes! Sounds like a big possibility! Jeeze, I think I was bloated and gassy throughout my whole pregnancy lol. But you are experiencing the same things I did when I missed my period!!!

I have had the same exact symptoms as you!!! I felt like I was reading my own post!! I was due for my period 3 or 4 days ago ( I am irregular, so I am not exactly sure when it would have been due) but I have been gassy, BLOATED, and having heartburn. I am planning on testing tomorrow morning b/c some charts I did said that the hormone levels may be high enough on the 24th. So in your case, I'd wait until the 27th or so. But like so many people have said, not everyone can detect pregnancy with HPT. if I don't get a positive tomorrow, I will call the doctor for a blood test. So if you don't get a positive by wed, call the doctor for a blood test.

well for your sake if you are wanting to be pregnant, I hope you get that positive but I have to agree with Jan as far as HPT go. My first pregnancy went unnoticed for 6 weeks because I took two HPTs a week after I missed my period and it showed negative, it took my mom to notice a change in my behavior almost a month later to get me another test and it finally showed up positive. I just had an extremely weird --s cycle and instead of being 30 days was a 37 day with high cervix, headaches - which I dont get prior to period and tender breasts but nothing like they are during and before my period which is sore and achy. But that dreaded period came on day 37. So hang in there, give it another week. I know it's hard waiting. I set up my calendar and put TESt on the day I was going to take it, I got my period 3 days before I was suppose to test. Good luck. If it doesn't come, take another hpt or just see your doctor and get a urine or blood test.

Maybe may not be but I would guess not. Most home test work days beofre missed. I would say give it a few days. Test again. The stress of wondering may make ur period late. My guess is not ur not. You can go to the dr but I would wait a few days instead of having to pay a doctor.

if your one of those people that have low HCG LEVELS, then yes, in fact, they never ever worked for either one of my pregnancies. not even weeks after missing my period, i had to have blood test to confirm pregnancy. i can't stand it when people say, if the test is negative , your not pregnant because some even say they can detect pregnancy even right befor your period. B.S not for alot of people . get a blood test done.
