It does drive me crazy when I hear all those excuses. Breastfeeding is hard, it does make you want to stop. I wanted to about 3 different times but I was adamant to keep going. I love breastfeeding, I wasn't going to let a nursing strike, colic, or extreme fatigue get in my way of something that came more naturally to me than anything I have ever experienced before. We connected whenever she first latched on. She did it without trouble and I had no pain except for the nipple sensitivity pain that lasted about a week for me. What drives me more crazy is that we aren't allowed to talk about it whenever there are some formula feeding mothers around. We aren't trying to make them feel guilty but I feel like a warrior whenever I think about how difficult it was to keep nursing even whenever I thought the odds were stacked against me. I feel like I came out on top and I am damn proud to breastfeed. Aren't all breastfeeding mothers feeling the same way?
