She's OK. She's not great enough to have made it if she didn't have Disney backing her up the entire way. But she's nowhere near as bad a singer as me! LOL

No, she is not. Hilary Duff is the perfect example of how someone who's already famous by other means can get a record deal despite their lack of talent, and probably lack of interest as well, for singing. Paris Hilton comes to mind too, but at least she's hot. Hilary Duff doesn't really have any talent at all, but like the Olsen Twins, there'll always be a market for the kind of tripe they incessantly pump out every year. If you're cute, have insecure stage parents that live vicariously through their own children, live in L.A., and are cooperative, you can be the next Hilary Duff or Mary-Kate and Ashley - guaranteed! It's not about the talent; it's about the market. Hilary Duff's voice is bland and weak, she can only hit a few notes, and her music is pure crap. You know a bad singer by how faint their voice sounds in the song; because their terrible singing is being covered up by flashy production work, high-tech microphone filters, and catchy tunes.
Life just ain't fair.

They can make anybody sound good with modern technology.
I, however, am an excellent singer and could sing circles around her.

I like her songs but truly I don't think she can sing all that well her voice doesn't have very good range or pitch.
