I leave it to you to define "civilized" for yourself. If I narrowly define it, the answers may become to obvious, and less enlightening.

Interesting how you left out Iran, Iraq, and North Korea, not to mention Syria, Indonesia, China, Egypt, Libya, and any African or South American nation.

Maybe you know more about how civilized the United States is than you let on. Maybe you don't want to admit just how good the USA really is. But maybe I am over-editorializing. I can't guess your motivations. :)

I'd also like to hear your definition of civilized. Germany makes some awfully disgusting kinds of pornography, Mexico provides an endless stream of drugs, France will never defend any free nation, not even itself, and Jordan is pretty self-explanitory as to why they are uncivilized.

I'll take USA, Australia, Israel, and the UK as my top 4 most civilized nations.

You really do yourself and everyone a dis-service, by declining to define the word "Civilization"!!! ~ This word has many different meanings!!!

I prefer this one, from "Wikipedia": A standard of behavior:
Civilization can also mean the standard of behavior, similar to etiquette. "Civilized" behavior is contrasted with "barbaric" or crude behavior. In this sense, civilization implies sophistication and refinement.

Based on this definition, countries like Mexico, Jordan, and France, would have to be placed near the top of your list, while the rest would come below, with the United States at or near the bottom!!!

France most civilized most culture but a little too civilized
England probably one of the best all around countries
Canada
Germany
USA I love American more than many of the civilized ones
Israel and Jordan are probably equally
Austrailia rather civilized and uncivilized in a Good way
Mexico uncivilized in a bad way
A lot of other countries are more uncivilized than these

Both extremes are bad.
