It's all CGI (Computer Graphics Interface). It is very simple to ad fake people into a scene nowadays. Stuntmen are becoming obsolute. CGI has really made significant advances in recent years. The technology is seemless. I work in this field, so I know.

If your talking about the V W ones. There stunt drivers, and I am sure there is some type of trick film work going on. Funny one is when there talking about the ED med's and 4 hours side effects.
