Yes unfortunetly twice. The first time I was like 10. Two guys broke in looking for some guy and they tied me and my mother up. I had to watch them hold a gun to her head. The other one asked me if I wanted to live to see the age of 15. They left us there tied up and took some money from us, CDs, and a radio. My mom got untied and called the police. We moved the next day. The second time no one was home. They came in and took all of our TVs, VCRs, Segas and games, food from the fridge and CDs. Oh yeah and the stereo.

Yes, I got a job at a gas station/convenience store. I worked there for 3 weeks. One night 2 masked gunmen came in yelling get down and jumped over the counter and took the whole safe. There were 3 others with them that were controlling the outside to make sure nobody used a pay phone or contacted the police. We were unharmed, but mentally scarred.

yes, when i was young, went to a boy scout meeting with the folks, when we got home the burglar was in the house, jumped out a second floor window,we used the neighbors phone to call police. i was too young to feel "violated" though.i do remember everything in detail that night though, and am still a little paranoid about being robbed. once you are a victim, everything changes.just don't feel "targeted" and accept it as random.

Yes, a couple of years ago, someone broke the passenger side of my boyfriends car and stole my purse and my cds (A LOT of cds). We were at a bar/restaurant that we always went to and knew everyone, so I was stupid and left my stuff on the floor in the front seat. I was really freaked out because my house key was in my purse. It was a terrible experience.

Once when I was 19. A so called "friend" came to the apartment I lived in with my roommate and when the roommate was in the bathroom the "friend" went into my bedroom and stole $100 from me.(a $100 bill to be exact). Then she went to lunch with my roommate and paid for her meal with a ---$100 bill. When I realized my money was missing my roommate put 2 and 2 together and we realized who stole my money. So I called the "friend's" house and ratted her out to her mother. When the "friend" called me about calling her mother I told her I would BEAT HER *** if she didn't return my money. I went to her house with some of our mutual friends and we sat out there for hours yelling,"thief, liar, thief, liar". She didn't dare call the cops because she KNEW she would be in trouble. After 2 days of me threatening to kick her a** she came to my job and handed me $100 and said, "I hope you are happy!" like I did something wrong. Needless to say she later went on to steal money from one of her jobs to support her meth addition and now she is in jail. I still feel a sense of glee at knowing I scared her into repaying me!

Yes and for the longest time felt like I was violated. I couldn't believe how much it hurt. I didn't want to trust anyone for a very long time.

once. just a couple of yards from my apartment. i got mugged by 2 guys. they attacked me from the back, whack my groin and beat me to the ground. they continued the beating till they are satisfied before taking all my belonging - my cell phone, wallet and watch. good thing is that they left me my cigarette and my zippo lighter. i smoked on my way to the police station and hospital......
