Yes you can but you must use specific product and follow label directions exactly! Epoxy based, two part, and very limited time to apply. Also, warm, dry, dust free environment is a must for success. Prep is the name of the game and don't rush the drying time. Also, No water can be allowed to stand in sink for a long time. Read the label instructions before you purchase and then decide if it's a project you wish to tackle.

You can not use just any old spray paint. It has to be epoxy based and you would talk to someone at Home Depot or other professional home care / supply source about the paint so you get the right kind.

The sink must be pulled and prepared for painting.

DO NOT spray paint stainless steel sinks - unless your home supply service has a specific product for painting the sink.

IF the sink is porcelain, the answer is yes. I have painted many sinks and bathtubs using an epoxy paint and the result is always quite nice. Preparation is very important. Be sure that the surface is extremely clean; use some fine-grain sandpaper and wipe it with a tack-cloth. I hope this helps.

RE:
Can you paint a sink?

Never try to paint it!
It will not last, the paint may peel off.
Sinks are not 'Nonscratchy' areas.
More over you have to do scrubbing while you clean a sink.

Generally no!

You would have to remove the sink, then prepare it for paint, then prime and paint, then allow for drying time.

Just replace the sink! It will be much less expensive.
