Well, I have 3 horses, 2 dogs, 3 rabbits, 1 wild cat that has adopted our family and I am going to be getting a kitten in about a month or so. But, between cats and dogs, they are both good for different reasons. I wouldn't say either one is better than the other. Unless, well, the dog makes a much better guard animal. It will bark or growl and scare people. My dogs are goofy, and silly. Really lovable. My daughters dog doubles as a rag doll for her. He's Chihuahua/Jack Russel Terrer.

I've got 1 Alaskan malamute and used to have 3 cats. The cats r gone because they were a pain. They claw at ur furnace and carpets and curtains. At night they act haunted, they're very territorial and last but not the very least they have hairballs! Yea they're cute, but dogs r 2 and dogs are loyal, protective,companionable,wise,loving and at the end of a bad day that dog will be ready to cheer u up.

I have 4 German Shepherds & 2 Cats. We love all of our pets equal
In my opinion cats take less maintance than dogs, who need to be walked & excersised everyday.I also think that cats cost less to up keep than dogs.Take our dogs for example they need to be bathed &/or taken to the groomers at least once a month, along with being licenced & given shots every year & their vet bills tend to be more exspensive. Also dogs come with bigger risk, like being sued if they bite someone (not that mine have ever) & I hope this helps

2 dogs, 3 cats. I like cats better becasue they don't need as much care and clean up after themselves. I love my dogs, both adopted, but cats are much better for a busy person!

i have 4 dogs, i had 4 cats. the cats made a huge mess everywhere! dogs are much better, and theyll warn you whenever someone steps into your yard.

cats are definetely stronger and much easier to mantain, they do not smell as dogs, but may be too independent so if you are looking for a loyal pet go for a dog.

if ur worried about cats scratching stuff give them the scratching thing it can be wood
