Recently I've noticed that there is blood whenever I move my bowel. This only happens when I move my bowel and not when I urinate. There is no pain, just blood.

** ALERT** **POTENTIALLY SERIOUS** **See a Doctor**

This could be a serious medical condition, or there is a chance that it is not so serious. You'll never know if you ignore it, and if it is a serious condition, it will get worse. You will not do yourself any favor if you ignore this.

My step dad had that happen to him, and they diagnosed him with a bowel infection. But, don't mess around you could have some issues going on with your colon. Go see a doctor about this and have them do an lower GI, that will tell you results.. You will be asleep so its painless. I know, I had it done twice now.

If it's bright red blood, it's probably a fissure, polyp or hemmoroid and should still be evaluated because it could be serious. If it's dark red blood, it's something internal and that is REALLY SERIOUS. Get checked out, pain or not.

You probably have an internal hemorrhoid---especially if the blood is red. It will likley heal on its own, but if you are still bleeding in a couple of weeks, you should consult a doctor.
