what i think? i think the plan is working flawlessly through the use of propaganda here and in iraq there is a perfect excuse to remain indefinitely in the middle east and now instead of the US thinning out the population over there, through psy-ops we have got them wiping out each other ... what could be better? Americans for the most part just sit back comfortably in front of their tv blissfully ignorant thinking we are fighting the boogyman terrorists over in the middle east while we are installing pipelines and shipping oil out ... iran is next.

I think that those numbers are "low"
all in all, the only long term benifit is in combat conditions training for the troops over there.
It is not the best strategy that I can think of.. however the people in the pentagon or wherever, have years of experience so they must have a reason for it.
At the least if the public elected the commander in cheif or atleast the people who elected him, then it is their will for it to occur, their will at that time.
However I think that if the people had the choice to vote for the war or not.. they would vote against it.
Because they do not see a direct effect of not going to war and they don't have any noticable gain for going to war.
War is ugly no matter how you look at it with out the makeup.
It is unfortunate people are dying especially if they didn't ask for it.
You have the choice to support the war or not. If you don't support the war, don't pay your taxes, and if need be go to jail overit. Short of supporting open rebellion and insurrection, we always have the choice to pull the trigger or who to aim at or who to give money to.
That choice is ours, much the same it is their choice if so, to kill you or take ' your' property.
It is unfortunate.
The president has immunity while in office, especially for national security reasons. Fact one such claim is after an assasination attempt on Saddam that was foiled... with many people implicated.. meanwhile the kurds were in open rebellion.
although in general I do not condone the acts.. I can understand why they "may" have happened. However Saddam may not have ordered the stuff.. and must I remind the americans.. they are the ones who supplied the equipment in the case of the gas attacks.
Didn't see it happen .. anyone could have did it..
I think that the age of mindless zombies following the will of so called sociopaths needs to end and people need to take personal accountability. For some reason I just can't picture Saddam Piloting a bell helicopter.. or for that matter taking the time to kill a bunch of people.. when he wasn't even in town after an assasination attempt.
Its bs

Well, the no of people that Saddam killed was a lot more than 500---thousands of Kurds------------mass graves were uncover that had remains and some were identifiable by relatives---in one alone 1500. so your figures are not true. It is awful that so many Iraqis are being killed now but its not Americans now but 2 different Muslim groups , each wanting to be in power, killing each other Iraq should never have been invaded by US-but Sada am should instead have been assassinated. What a Mess the Iraqi war has made

try removing the 14 from your question and then cutting the 7 in half. after u do that u will be starting to get close to the correct number. at least according to a news article i read a couple days ago saying that the last 2 months were the deadliest since the war started with 6thousand something people dead during that time frame.. that breaks down to 3thousand something per month during the months that they just told us were the worst.

Saddam killed only 500? What a load of trash. And those Iraqi deaths are due to their own kind blowing themselves up and blowing cars up. You can't blame Bush for this one.

I think that the Middle East should be more concerned about the killing of innocent Muslims by more violent factions and should do something about it.
Take some responsibiliuty and show some leadership. It is about time that someone besides the U.S. takes the lead.

I think that it's horrible that the average people of Iraq have to live such a way. I think I wish they would start taking care of themselves and give the US the excuse it needs to get the hell out.

Just saw on MSNBC that nearly 6000 had been killed in the Month of Aug. That is a mortal sin, and SOME ONE will have to pay BIG TIME. Blessed be the PEACE MAKERS.......

Conservative white-trash Christians (who currently run policy) hate everyone except those that live in their perverted world. The are sexual deviants who derive their excitement from hurting others.
Virtually every criminal in America is a Christian.
They are stupid and violent. This pleases their god, who wants them to rape-torture-kill. These Christian soldiers are good at their job because the love it so much.
You should be afraid of them.
Every decent person should be afraid of them.

First of all, you're over-exaggerating the numbers. That being said, what I think about it depends on exactly who's dying.
