I personally prefer theater. But I would say go for whatever makes you happy. Remember, you can become a theater performer or a writter. Just believe in yourself!

I think you should do both things simultaneously. First become a broadway actress and at the same time, in your spare time, dedicate to write a story. Then you will have a greater probability of getting your writing recognized, maybe you could write a play for broadway. My point is that by being an actress you get to be noticed, recognized, seen and heard and who wouldn't want to read a book from a broadway actress, I would definately buy your book!! And who said that you can't do both things at the same time? Go ahead an impress us all, if you really love writing and theatre you don't have to necessarily give up to both of them, try first writing short stories and show them to a friend or your english teacher, and involve yourself in school plays, that always helps. Wish you could luck and hope to see you in broadway and your book in stores.

You need to learn sentence structure if your question is any indication. YOU need to decide WHAT YOU want to become, we cannot Guide you in this. Remember, both fields of endeavor are VERY DIFFICULT to get into. If you are all that interested in writing, the school newspaper may have an opening. As for acting, try some school plays. You need to begin AT THE BOTTOM and it's a LONG, LONG way up the ladder.

Both are very difficult to achieve. One must be extremely talented in both careers.

A lot of playwrights are actors as well, doing both is not out of the question. Writing is something you can always do on the side.
