Being discriminated against in almost every walk of life, even by ones family and friends, is pretty tough.

I am sure I will say what most others are saying but I have to assume it has to do with being judged and criticized for their decisions. I have yet to meet a gay person that wasn't kind and giving and sensitive, and wonderful. I appreciate differences in people and am glad that there are people on this planet that think differently than the closed minded people who insist on bothering them.

By people, religious and otherwise, putting their point of view thoughtfully. We all know by now the story of Sodom.
What irritates me is the need of some to damn and blind us. To force religion with fire and sword. I have had personal experience and seen the horrors of that approach and if you need convincing read about the inquisition. There is no love there.
Live well, love kindly. Rose P.

The hate and biggotry coming from people who do not understand gay culture. You can help educate people which is the big problem. People who are not gay should not be telling gay people why they are gay in the first place

People can learn to accept others for their differences. But I fear this will never, ever happen. Human beings are intolerant by nature. We hate what we fear, and fear what we don't understand, and what we don't understand we kill. I'm not saying all humans as a whole, but look at history, and you will see this is generally the way we tend to behave.

except them for who they are. those who decide to live openly, have to endure different forms of scrutiny. that would create some anger for some people. i do know people who are gay and they are not angry. but they would like society to become a bit more enlightened.

You mistake standing up to bigotry and hatred for anger.
"We" aren't angry, "we" simply refuse to take the BS anymore.

Equal civil rights might be a good step too.
