I'd rather write because if I say it out loud, it gets me all fired up. Writing it down calms me. So yes, it's a stress reliever for me.

Writing is the most thorough and effective relief for anything that ails me. I don't feel like I understand myself unless I'm able to explain my feelings coherently and precisely. Once it's out of me and in front of me, I can step back and divine a solution. Writing lifts my spirit and frees me of mental clutter. Nothing else gives me that kind of perspective. I have to write.

Sometimes. It's mostly to take away some of the stress and clear your mind a little bit, but it doesn't take it ALL off.

Yes. I've done both. I have done quite a bit of journaling, and I have also shared my problems with close friends, pastors and counselors. Often those with whom I share have suggestions or insights to which I am blind myself. Their thoughts are often helpful and encouraging.

yes but id rather write my problems down if i dont wanna share them, sometimes i fear i tell to much and get annoying. Not everyone wants to hear about everything wrong in your life...I know i dont.
