writing is for me. i guess sometimes telling is but i prefer writing -

I'd rather write because if I say it out loud, it gets me all fired up. Writing it down calms me. So yes, it's a stress reliever for me.

Writing is the most thorough and effective relief for anything that ails me. I don't feel like I understand myself unless I'm able to explain my feelings coherently and precisely. Once it's out of me and in front of me, I can step back and divine a solution. Writing lifts my spirit and frees me of mental clutter. Nothing else gives me that kind of perspective. I have to write.

Sometimes. It's mostly to take away some of the stress and clear your mind a little bit, but it doesn't take it ALL off.

Yes. I've done both. I have done quite a bit of journaling, and I have also shared my problems with close friends, pastors and counselors. Often those with whom I share have suggestions or insights to which I am blind myself. Their thoughts are often helpful and encouraging.

most of the time. but i am supposed to be doing one of the steps in alcoholics anonymous and i am dragging my feet. i know i will feel better when i finish, i think i might need a different sponsor. wow i already feel better writing about my problem. thank you

yes but id rather write my problems down if i dont wanna share them, sometimes i fear i tell to much and get annoying. Not everyone wants to hear about everything wrong in your life...I know i dont.

yes it helps release stress and get things off of your chest. it acts alot like going to a therapist office and hleps you work out your probelms.
