I would prefer that it isn't a length book- 650 words max, and please no fantasy. This also has to be a book suitable to do a highschool english class book report on. please provide a breif description if possible.

I odnt know of any book sthat are only 650 words... but if you mean pages then I have a few suggestions...
Any of the Harry Potter book are great.
"Ender's Game" is a wonderful story of a young boy that literally saves the world.
"Freak the Mighty" is a very inspirational story of a young boy who finds himself by becomming great friends with the least of expected people.

OK you have got to be kidding me. What do you mean by the word 'book'. At 650 words it seems to me that you are referring to the essay which you are meant to be writing in response to having read a book. A book of 3 pages is a pamphlet; well maybe, there are surely newspaper articles which are longer than that. Were you hoping to turn in the book as an the report itself?

I'd be careful with James Patterson novels as they can be a bit graphic and violent. Check with your teacher for her approval on the book you choose. Where the Heart is by Billie Letts is a really great book. You might one to try one of James Patterson's romances--my favorite is Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas. Get out the tissues though; it's a tearjerker. Any Nicholas Sparks book is wonderful but also tearjerkers. I'm 30 and really enjoy children's and young adult lit as that is what I like to write. Try the book Tale of Despereaux, Because of Winn Dixie both by Kate Dicamillo. Good luck in your search! Remember to ask your instructor's approval before you begin reading the book and writing the report.

The classics are okay, but I like to read more for enjoyment. They'll make you read a lot of the classics sooner or later, so maybe you would be better off picking something different. I would suggest "The Jasmine Trade" by Denise Hamilton. I just finished reading it and enjoyed it very much. Here's a description for you, courtesy of Amazon.com

It's been a while since I was in High School, but I think this would be a good one for your book report.
Good Luck!

ANYTHING by James Patterson. His books do not exceed your limit (I am assuming you meant 650 pages) plus they are quick reads. For starters, I recommend Along Came A Spider, it is about a kidnapping and will keep you going. Another good one is Where the Heart Is, it is a "softy" read but it's actually the book that got me interested in reading... now I can barley put books down! Good luck!

I know it is longer than what you asked but Pride and Prejudice is a great book in the US version, but if you want a short book I would probably say A Streetcar Named Desire + you have the movie with Vivian Leigh and Marlon Brandon. These books have no fantasy but just reality itslef but the second one it talks about mental disease, but it's great.

Yes! It's called The Bar Code Rebellion. It's about a girl who lives in this place where you are forced to get a bar code and with it you have to train to be a perfect soldier. If you have ever seen the shoe Dark Angel, it's just like it! Hope you read it! bye
