Anthony Kedis actually did have a horrible life.
His father was a struggling actor and a drug addict and his mother was pretty much useless.
All of it is true. Im sure that some of it was written from the calmed down brain of an EX addict... but I do honestly believe it happened.
Many people have fantastic hard to believe lives. No one ever believes me and mine was pretty much out there too. I don't think you should take away from his life just because YOU find it hard to stomach or believe. There are really talented artistic souls out there who are unique and seem kinda nuts BECAUSE of the lives they have led.
Why would he bother making it all up? He has plenty of money and all the fame one person could stuff into one lifetime?

Yes, I am reading it too. But I choose to believe it, though it is outrageously bogus. Entertaining, and over the top. Great read. :) He lost his virginity at 12. Wow.

I think MoMatt means poetic LICENSE.
I heard Anthony had a really messed-up childhood. I am not reading the book, currently, however.

If it is an autobiographical it is supposed to be true.
Of course, he could always use poetic justice.
I looked it up and it said "searingly honest memoir". So, I guess the answer is yes, it is true.

try reading Aerosmith's, if it was fiction it'd be panned as over the top.
