I used to have one that was a sterling silver rocking horse that was mine when I was a small child. I lost it, along with several thousand dollars' worth of Christmas decorations when our house burned in January.

It's a golden dove that I gave my wife on our first Christmas together. Each year since then, the two of us have shopped for one special ornament to mark something significant about our life together during the past year. They're all very pretty and unique and we're now getting to the point where we can hardly get them all on the tree at the same time. But it's that first special ornament that we always hang first, and each Christmas now is a Christmas of memories.

Every year my wife gives me a Star Wars Christmas ornament from the Hallmark Store. They are tacky, but they are so special, because she gives me one for Christmas every year. Therefore, they are the most beautiful ones on the tree, because they have the most sentimental value.

We also have an angel ornament that I made in Bible School when I was 4 with 2 pieces of pasta (ziti and bowtie - for the wings). It's also super special, because that was 27 years ago.

And Boss Brat, that is the saddest story EVER. I'm so sorry for you!!!

It is one of those clear ornaments. My daughter filled it with purple and white paint. It was her first year of kindergarten. So yes, it is special. I am slowly replacing all the ornaments on my tree with ones my kids have made. Soon it will be full of their beauty and creativity.

I have several very nice ones. One is a gold filigree-type thing, 2 intersecting circles with a nativity scene, used to be my mother's. Another is a painted glass lantern like the ones in Central Park that I got in Saks in New York on a trip with my daughter.

I have a particular angel that is going on the suitable of my tree. It turned right into a present from someone who's no longer the following and that i will in no way replace that tree topper. i don't have a topic in accordance to se. merely treasures from mom, grandma or maybe some from tremendous grandma. I have some home made embellishes that I treasure more advantageous than all the save offered ones. ok, so per chance my topic is 'treasures"
