i had a 98.7 temperature and the school send me home!!

That doesn't make sense. Isn't that considered to be "perfect"? A doctor told me just last week that everybody's baseline temperature is different. Like, 98.6 might be normal for you, but 99.6 might be normal for me.
However, I'd have your mom call the school about that. She shouldn't have sent you home unless it was 100, unless you had other symptoms that concerned her.

98.6 is considered normal , however some people run a little hotter and some a little cooler. The school is not suppose to send a child home unless their temp reaches 100.

it's proven that women have a lower body temperature then men. you could have a fever that a male wouldn't be considered to have one. though I don't know about 98.7

Some people run low, 97.8, etc., some people run a little high.
The school was overly cautious. However,it could be a low-grade fever - if there is a flu going around with a low-grade fever as a symptom, perhaps you aren't feeling the flu at this time.

thats crazy, A normal temperature is 98.6 F. i think they sent home the wrong person.. they should have checked themselves!

98.6 your school is obviously retarded because when i was in school (last year) they wouldnt send you home unless you were puking and had a temp. of at least 99.0
