I've been playing games for a while now, and all this time I can't seem to play a game without playing all the games before it. It just doesnt feel right! I've now decided to step into MMORPGs and my choices are: WoW, Everquest, and City of Heroes. But after realizing that warcraft is a series I'm wondering: Should i go through the trouble of seeking out One and Two (Three is fairly new) just to play the "Worlds Greatest MMORPG"?

You just asked this question! So, here is what they said:

No.

I personally don't know, but my roommate is seriously addicted to WoW and I don't think she played anything before it. So go for it I guess.

No. Just play the new one, and maybe 3 to get some feeling. Thoguh the User interface is COMPLETLY different. 1, 2 and 3 are strategy(like aoge of empires), and WoW is MMOPRG.

im a huge wc person. i played all of the wc games. dont play wc1 or wc2. You should play through the story of the regular and expansion of wc3 for SURE though. it makes WoW a LOT better.

personally though, I wouldnt play WoW. It's really silly in the sense that the guy who plays the most wins. it doesnt take any SKILL or TALENT per se, it just takes ridiculous dedication (ur competing with people who are OBSESSED, so dont expect to be the top...ever). Whereas in wc3, you need serious skill to be good. and getting skill sets you way apart from everyone else. just a suggestion though. play only RTS games =)

Nope, just Three cuz it's the one that WoW is based one, whereas One and Two follow a rather different storyline (where the Orcs, Undead and demons are one race and the Night Elves are as yet nonexistent)
