If the United States did not get involved in the pacific in WWII would Hawaians be speaking Japanese now?

The US was already involved in Hawaii as early as 1833, long before WWII and WWI. Missionaries had come to the islands to preach Christianity.

As it stands, half of the Hawaians already speak Japanese.
