I can't help you decide on the house. You need a house inspector to check it out and based on their report you decide if you want it. But, I can help you with the odor. We had a skunk die under one of our buildings at work. It took a while to find it and I had to remove it in pieces. I used 1 gallon of bleach to disinfect the area and after that I used about 2 gallons of Febreze. It killed 99% of the odor. It took another week or so before the rest of the weak odor went away. I know there are many other suggestions but this one worked quickly for me. I did not want to crawl under that building again!

Buy the house. It sounds like a good fixer upper. The skunk is no problem . You can catch it with live trap and release it in the woods. Before it can come back you can wire around the bottom entrance of the house so it can't get back in. sounds like you really want this house. Go for it and be happy. And bye the way Catsup is how you get rid of skunk off yourself and animals. But you can wash the walls and floors with ammonia for the scent. and it will eventually go away.

Sure! They don't spray unless threatened.

If you have a dog you need to either chase it off(the skunk) or invest in a couple gallons of vinegar(to wash the dog).

Heck, I'd leave out cat food for it. I always thought if I'm old & lonely I'd get a pet -descented-skunk. That would deter intruders better than a rottweiler.

You can hire someone to get rid of the skunk. I think old houses have a lot of charm. If you like it and see potential in it, do not let a silly skunk deter you. Animal control will come out and get it, or if nothing else an exterminator.

You can always kill a skunk. Jesus Christ, if a skunk is going to put you off, you're never going to find a house (unless you're just superficial).
