If you can't come up with your own inspiration, then you shouldn't be trying to write a horror story.

Vampire has a tooth that has been bothering him and has to go to the dentist. The dentist tells him for whatever reason some teeth have to come out. Now the vampire isn't as scary anymore. While he awaits for his new prosthetics to be done, he develops a mid inmortality crisis. He hooks up with a young werewolve lady and has an unplanned pregnancy. He'll have to trade in his sports car for a minivan. The mixed race baby will it be a werewolve or a vampire? The werewolve's pregnancy is 2 months. After which he has to hire a nanny. The nanny happens to be an attractive Centaur.
I am having way much fun.

hmm. Please whatever you do stray from the tradition vampire and werewolf stories. Make it to were maybe the reason vampire's don't walk during the day is because for some scientific reason their eyes are sensitive to the sun's UV Rays, but they can still come out in the daylight. Do some history on them too. Maybe drinking blood is a myth, maybe it originated from some legendary vampire. Also, you could make both vampires and werewolves almost like normal people during the day. If you're like me (I love vampire and werewolf stories) you probably like the entire Underworld movie plot...Vampire vs. Werewolf, with some romance. I wouldn't try doing that. Try to be original, if i think of something else i'll add to this. Good luck!

Werewolves were created by a good magician to protect villagers from vampires, as a werewolf bite can kill a vampire. However, the werewolves got out of control, and the good magician tried to undo his magic, but could only reduce the spell so that they were good and normal people except during a full moon, the day on which he originally cast the spell. Vampires are trying to kill all the werewolves while they "normal" to finally wipe them all out.

You won't get much help from people's suggestions. Your ideas and progress will come with your exposure from reading and/or watching films of that genre. Originality springs from your experiences, and that includes the jump starts you can get from reading other writers. If you want to write; read.
