i think the only benefit former employees got was the 401k that they put money into. because the company went bankrupt any other money would have been used to pay off creditors, eliminating any profit-sharing or pensions. you could contact your state labor board for information. it would have alot to do with what your position was and how long you worked there. good luck

I thought these stores were long gone in history. As I remember it, Zayre came to our city and them went belly up and then Ames took over. Ames went belly up and we have no more. First, look into how long will this company be around. If they continue to do as they've done, you won't have to look at benefits because they'll be gone. My understanding is these stores only come in to buy out major companies and then resale it quickly until the merchandise is distributed to other small chained stores.

do those stores still exist? i haven't seen either in FOREVER!!! anyway, best thing is just to ask, either the HR people, or anybody that's worked there.
