When me and my friends are hittin a joint, those commercials crack us up. There isn't really any message other then i'll sit and watch tv all day. And i do that sober.

Couple things...
I have smoked before and it does nothing like those goofy commercials show. They are quite funny when you've been there before. Pot makes you laugh contagiously, and get the munchies. You don't want to fight like when you're drunk, you'd rather sit there and giggle at them. Hard drugs (like meth, X, coke, heroin, crakc, etc...)are the bane of our existence.
On the other hand, I quit college when I got into the marijuana thing and it was the worst mistake of my life. I wasn't seeing things as clearly as I do now. But that's because I learned from all the stupid mistakes I've made. Not everybody is going to do badly because they like to smoke pot, but a lot have proven to not care as much what they do with their lives. I've known plenty of potheads who would rather smoke than get a job and take care of their families. I've also known plenty potheads who are now top executives in businesses.
SO...Have fun while you can, smoke one for me, but don't forget who you are and keep a level head about the important things in life. Responsibilities come first, then play.

where does college come into play? do you think because youre a college student that you know how it is and i dont? nope.. i suppose when youre a reformed stoner, those commercials start makin sense.. id just rather be the guy that doesnt smoke away

people are gonna smoke ganja. the gov't has to make it appear as if they care about the situation.

we dont see too many anti pot stuff here in british columbia mostly for harder drugs lke crystal meth/crack/heroin
