Stand strong and proud cuz who cares what other people think. I know it's easier to say than do but you have to be yourself you can't pretend to be somone you're not just cuz some people judge you. Trust me I know how it feels I'm not really emo but I'm kinda different and my friends are goths so I understand pressure. Besides look at Gerald Way he's goth and he's proud of it and he's majorly hot lol. If you always change for who you're around then what happens to you? You'll dissapear almost into a faded out memory, and wish you where strong enough to be yourself.

I think being whatever you want to be is fine. I could care less. You are your own person and if you feel you are an emo then that's you. Don't let other people get you down for the person you are. The only think I don't understand is the Emo's that live around my area always wear these extremely tight pants. I don't get it, even the boys. Where do your bits go, I mean you would think these pants would give them tummy aches. But that's the only thing I have to say about that. I had friends when I was in high school that were geeks and goths. And they were fine. So, rock on and be who you are.

o gosh!!!! this questions's "seriously" annoying! First of all, if you fall into a certain category of people, which, in your case is EMO, you shouldn't be goin around telling people that you're EMO!!! And not everyone thinks, EMOs just go around cutting themsleves and being depressed all day! Some poeple also think that they make out with each other! lol jk jk
but yeah, you just gotta grow out of this whole stage of labeling yourself, just figure out who you are as a person, becuase, honestly, it's a lot better being the true unique person that you really are instead of tryna be differnt in the EMO way.
yagetmeh? iight peace homie!
lol

I think you should just be yourself. Insecure people feel better if they can demean someone else. I think people fear what they don't undrstand. I'm extremely emotional about others being hurt. I try to feel people out, and choose who I can talk to about what. We all have our triggers, like I'm so unsure what to do when someone cries. This goes back to childhood. I think emotions show you are caring, have emphaty, and care about others. There is nothing wrong with that. I wish we had more women leaders, so emotions could come into play to protect children, ect. I just back off when others bum me out. I don't like to be around the negative stuff. I like to imagine I have these filters on what goes in and out of me, like a PC. Garbage in, garbage out. They don't know you, or understand you, and they are hung up on their own issues. Move to where you get the warm fuzzies. Most people have hidden agendas, and want something from you. I hate to admit it, but I stay to myself a lot, because I get tired of this stuff. Some people are just exhausting. Why go back there, if they don't listen. Relationships should go both ways, don't you think? Don't give more than you get. I also hate it when people stereotype. It's easier than thinking and learning from people. How are they going to learn anything, if they think you already know it all? You can't change others, only yourself, and how you respond to others.

i personally dont know why anyone would want to cut themse;ves so im gald you dont. Most of the people that gossip and talk crap, dont even know what they are talking about......they just heard it from other people who dont know what they are talking about. people should not judge someone by what they are.... if you think about it its kinda like racism against emos!

Being emo is not cool because emo people are whiny and are so middle school.

Maybe emo kids should stop being so depressed and stop cutting themselves. Remember in america its majority rule, unless your voting for a president. "There's no government like no government."

there's nothing wrong with being "emo" or "scene" or whatever. But 90% of the ppl who call themselves that are just posers and they're annoying.

I think everyone should just be themselves. If EMO makes you happy...wait. Scratch that. If EMO is what you is...than so be it. Who is anyone to say who or what you are...

It's unoriginal and seems so fake to me. When I was younger, it wasn't called emo, it wasn't cool, and the people eventually grew up and were embarassed for acting like losers.
