most shops now operate a strict policy stating that you must not have your hood up whilst you are in the shop should muslims be made to remove their yashmaks as this covers more of their face than a hood does on a normal person

also what are your views on hoodies are we evil or are we just the same as everybody else?

Any thing that covers the face should not be allowed in a public place, fashion wise or religious wise. Yashmaks are a part of muslim culture but with todays problems they should only be worn at home or in the place of worship. Hoods are linked with crime and rowdy teenagers, i think they are worse than Yashmaks, they give people the wrong impression of todays youth.

I think the whole mass paranoia is disgusting. Instead of crying "more security!" all the time people should get a hold of themselves and stop being afraid of everybody who does not look "normal".

Ladies wearing their face covered...I'm in 2 minds about that. on the one hand I find it an affront, because it shows that th e person does not agree with our basic values, on the other hand I can see that it would just be another means to harass Muslims if you ban it in public. On the whole I'm in favour of banning it. After all I, as a woman, am affronted whenever I see it, and why should they have the right to do that?

People regardless of religion should all be treated the same.

If you are not allowed in a place with your face covered by a hoodie, or a crash helmet/stocking/rubber presidents mask etc, then you should not be allowed in in a yashmak.

Being able to identify someone is key to all our security.

And no, though hoodies get a bad press, I doubt you are any worse than anyone else.

Before you it was skinheads, punks, mods, rockers, etc etc.

Those who wear the yashmak need to be unveiled for what they are, just people who hide behind a mask, hidden behind religion, usurping our (yes, all of ours) countries standards, freedom and security.

Lets face it, we've got enough to deal with with you lot let alone throwing goddamn yashmaks into the mix.

Fcuk em, they want to wear it and not be treated warily by people, then move some where they all wear it.

Not here.

I don't wear my Firemans Helmet when I'm out!!
