Okay ever since I've entered junior high none of the black kids have ever liked me. I don't know why though. I guess it was the way i dressed back then. I still have the same problems. A lot of the black girls don't like me. I don't know why. I did not do crap to them. according to them, i'm too preppy or too white-washed. I get plenty of dirty looks. The black dudes are nicer i guess, even though plenty of them have made fun of me & stuff. I'm black, or shall I say Nigerian American. Why aren't i excepted into the black community?

Be yourself, and treat other people nicely and with courtesy and compassion.

All the drama will sort itself out in time.

I have a friend who is just like you.

What you have to do is find black females who are just like you, not necessarily Nigerian, but black females who can accept you for who you are.

The ones that act nicer, but make fun of you, are not actually nice.
Always be aware of how people treat you when you face them and when you dont face them, If there is a difference then stay way from those people!
those guys might just be into you for your looks or for the fact that your black but "act white".
Its a mentality I'll discuss later, maybe.

Other than that you are fine, dont get to caught up in the "act black" mentality because it will have you kinda messed up and lost. Take it from me, act naturally , how you feel is right for you.

Let us learn to look at the good qualities of people around us despite their skin colors. If we keep on looking at bad qualities and make too much emphasis of the skin, we will only darken our vision.
The difference among people is not becauase of skin but because of education. Please let us learn to love and respect all people and pass this noble education on to our children and grand children in order to make our world a more beautiful world.
I firmly believe in the effect of education, because I myself have many wonderful black, white, yellow, red, brown friends in the US as well as in other countries, and I have not met a single bad one.

I went to law school with a lot of Nigerians and was the goddess mother to my former Nigerian friend's children. Frankly, as I get older I have less tolerance for Africans. All of you, and West Indians too, try to make yourselves better off than blacks whose ancestors have been in the U.S. for centuries. All of you claim to be so well off in your own improvised countries, but are trying to get your whole families here. And then you all are reaping the rewards from our civil rights struggles, while you say whites don't discriminate against all of you. I say the hell with all of you!

So, if African-Americans want to exclude all of you, more power to them. It is about time we become exclusionary.

People tend to reject what they do not understand. It's called ignorance. I would be myself and if there are issues about who you are, let them be theirs, not yours.

I'd wager, you carry your heritage much prouder than they do and without arrogance. In the way you walk and in the way you talk. Quite regal, I'm sure. Continue to stand proud, they could learn something!

Be strong and of good courage!

You are over-generalizing. High School sucks for everyone except the popular.

Don't conform to the group. If that's the only way you can get them to like you, you're better off not having them as your friends.

human stupidity will never cease to amaze you.
people love to discriminate. they will do it to you not only because the color of your skin, they will do it because you wear glasses because you are not to sociable, gosh they will do it even because they have nobody else to discriminate which might be your case.
it sucks i know but if you cant blend in into society then try to change it as you see fit.
impossible? just believe you can.

The feeling might be mutual, they may think you don't like them or consider yourself better. You will regret the wasted time pretending to be someone you are not.
