It depends on the discipline. I'd choose Yale law over Harvard law. I'd choose Harvard Business School over Yale's SOM (though I'd whoose Wharton over either of them). Economics is a tossup -- so I'd choose Harvard, because I would rather be in Cambridge than New Haven.
They are both great schools.
The one problem I have with Yale is that everyone I've ever met with a Yale undergraduate degree acts as if the world owes them something because they went to Yale. I don't get that from the other people whom I know who went to Ivy League schools.
Incidently -- someone above said that Bush went to Yale. He also went to Harvard.

What a ridiculous questions; arguable the number 1 and 2 universities in the country and you want to know which I'd rather go to? EITHER! Or Brown, Dartmouth, Princeton, Cornell, Columbia or Penn... Ivy League is Ivy League.
So which is more prestigious? Well, consider this... Bush went to Yale; Gore went to Harvard. Who do you think is smarter?

If I had a choice I would go to Harvard because I really like Boston.
