People in rural areas commonly get and use real corn stalks for Halloween decorations. They are quite common in fact.

Out here I do not see many, I can buy that rock hard Indian Corn that you could beat a squirrel with,,,,not that I would do that

I use cornstalks that I grown in my garden to decorate my front porch for fall. I live in middle Illinois.

I live in the city and we used to buy them at the farmer's market. I haven't bought them in years cause I'm lazy and they make a mess in the car.

Yep...we all do in our towns and villages.In fact we also have farms with large "Corn Maze"...cool,huh? The grandkids love it!!
