My brother lost a life companion who was his pet. I,seeing the void left by the passing of his friend, volunteered to breed my K-9 friend in order to fill the loss of his friend. He is now going through a divorce and his esstranged wife is attempting to claim the pet as her own. The pet in question was a gift to my brother and I would like to see them remain together. What can we do if anything....HELP!!!!

Now days, pets are dealt with like belongings or toddlers. The separation contract in many circumstances covers who receives what. in the experience that they both desire the animal, then the courtroom will in many circumstances settle on who receives what. I have talked with pals who were given divorced and the custody of the dogs turned right into a tremendous conflict at courtroom. in many circumstances someone who needs tht dogs undesirable sufficient will supply in on another situation like a vehicle or more advantageous money to the different party to compensate and create an "equitible" difficulty. I on the different hand am no longer so fortunate. My quickly to be ex-spouse does no longer desire the animals so i'm stuck with them till my daughter strikes out and takes her yappy poodles such as her. Ain't love grand! :))

When I got divorced, the judge awarded the dog to the person who had her and took care of her during the separation -- me. Judges tend to not really care about custody of animals, as my ex found out when the judge wouldn't listen to any arguments about it. Since I had the dog, that's where the dog stayed, and it cost him a lot of money to even ask for custody. Just keep that in mind.

Set up a fake funeral but make sure the pet casket is a closed ceremony so that he can keep the animal to his self. Just do it. Add a couple tears, some whining, some flowers, blame his ex- wife for making the animal catch a heart attack, then sue her for pain and suffering. It works believe me.
