I agree that WVU does not have a tough schedule. The games at Louisville, at Pitt and the final game against Rutgers will not be easy games. I think the poll this year is reflecting what WVU did against Georgia (a legitimate top 10 team) in their bowl appearance last year. That game was played in Atlanta if I remember correctly which was basically a home game for Georgia. WVU won and I think gained a lot of respect nationally with that win. The Big East has been pretty awful but this year Rutgers and Pitt seemed to be improved. I agree with you also that Louisville is overrated. They are good, but no.8 sounds a little too high. They could lose 3 games easily this year. WVU, Rutgers and Pitt could all derail the Cardinals hope for a perfect season if they are undefeated by the time the WVU game arrives. WVU will be penalized in the BCS standings if the weaknes of their schedule is borne out through the year. It looks very weak right now but if I understand correctly, if some of the teams WVU beats go out and upset a higher ranked team then WVU will gain points based on that circumstance.

West Virginia or Louisville is not overrated. The problems is that their conference is weak just like the Pac 10 where only USC, Cal. Oregon are any good. Remember what West Virginia did to Georgia in the bowl game last year? They are an offensive juggernaut and so is Louisville and either could give about anyone in the nation a run for the money. Oh I believe that Ohio State, Auburn. LSU, Florida, and USC could beat them but they would have a fight. They have talent and a lot of skilled players. By the way I am not a fan of either W Va or Louisville or the conference just a college football fan that knows what is true.
