My associates at work complain about how we need to have more bonding time and do stuff together. So I have a family picnic at my house for my daughter's birthday. Only two families out of 12 are coming. I am so tired of lame fake people. I don't have any family who live in this state and "friendships" are all I have. I will always remember I am not important to most people I work with.

Sorry to hear that. My work is the same. I have very few friends simply because I rarely find someone wirth giving the time of day to. But you do have your daughter, at least! And maybe the two families that do come will become good friends with you. It's the quality of friends, not the quantity, that counts. Hope your daughter has a great birthday :)

Likely the associates at your work meant bonding time doing adult things at some outdoor public place. Team baseball/softball at a park for example.
