i think we are becoming less intolerant because of the political correctness in this country it seems that ethnic people have more rights rather then it be equal rights. also the fact that we are inundated with people coming here for the free education, free medical treatment ,benefits and housing and the blatant abuse that our tax is being used for rather then looking after people born and bred here we put others first and the fact the race card is used all the time its no wonder really why people are becoming intolerant

What every one forgets is that 7/7 was not the first time we have been bombed we had years of people being killed and maimed by bombs left by the IRA. The irony being that these bombs were funded by vast sums of money coming from Irish organisations in the USA! We didn't turn against the Irish after all Northern Island was suffering terribly, there was just a feeling of outrage and repugnance that people could do such cowardly and terrible things.

This time it's different these people have come to our country supposedly for a better life - and they end up abusing our country and our people. A lot of resentment is directed at our ludicrous government and the human rights lobby. I agree with the other answer that says we now have less rights than those who come spreading hate. The awful thing is that many of those who seek to destroy our way of life calling us evil etc etc are living off the back of the British tax payer on welfare benefits! However it doesn't stop us welcoming visitors from other countries we tend to treat people with respect if they respect us.

I used to think Britain was very welcoming of foreigners until I came on here. I don't know if its got anything to do with 7/7, but up here in Liverpool you don't get that much racism and most are very friendly to foreigners. I guess its because we are a port and have seen lots over the years.

Since being on here I fear it is different for other parts of the country. Most of the racist language seems to be coming from people down south. Maybe its just the type of people you get on here or maybe that's the way down there. I don't know.

There are foreigners who are welcome and some are not. It isn't just Britain. After the bombings in Britian and other places, how can one feel different? Wasn't clear what area you meant "south". South London? South Liverpool??

I didn't seem to have much problems coming through France to England. Maybe it's just me.

No.

Unless you appear to be a Muslim.

And you don't have to be from a different country to be one of those.

Sad but true.
