i feel guilty when i get voted 4 best answer. voters always vote 4 the first answer even if it it isnt the best. wen mine is voted becuz its the first answer i feel guilty becuz my answer isnt always the best. does anybody else feel this way?

I am running about 25% for best answer and I have looked at other peoples and they run about 3-4% although I did run across one guy that runs 75%.

If you REALLY want to get chosen best answer there are a couple of ways to achieve this.

First, only answer the questions you KNOW the answer to. Dont guess, dont post something like "I heard something..." or "My friend said..." Make sure you know what you are talking about and write the answer concisely so that any fool in the world could follow along and solve the problem.

Second, be professional with your answer. Make sure words are spelled correctly and sentences are puntuated. If people have to read an answer 3 or 4 times to get it simply because you didnt use proper grammar you wont get the votre for best answer even if your technical solution realy IS the best answer.

Third, recognize that the main objective here is to help the person that answered the question, not to inflate your own ego by getting best answer.

I feel like it's more meaningful when I get a best answer that is chosen by the asker. Being voted best answer is not so special. Did you know you can vote your own answers as best answer? I used to do that but I don't bother to do that anymore.
