I was thinking about Academy Art University, but I've heard mixed things about it. Like, how it's a waste of time and money. However, I've heard they have a good job placement rate. Has anyone graduated from there and had luck finding a good job in their field?

I almost went there, it is definitely very expensive. I thought students were just complaining like at all schools but it really is very pricey. And the housing people can be really rude, most people try to get off campus as soon as they can but the buildings look beautiful. As far as the quality of the education, I also heard mixed things but I thought it would be a good area to pursue the program that I wanted (interior design) and maybe the area is a factor for you too. I talked to several people who said that you get back what you put into it, effort wise and that is probably true. I hear their graduates do well as far as film and animation too. If you go to livejournal they have a group for the school, you will get some honest answers about attending and maybe even your program. Good luck!
