It is ok have your brakes checked do not wait for metal to metal to happen $$$ ! Brake Pads have special squeelers built onto them that squeek when moving and sometime you cannot here them when stopping. 4 years it is time for front pads and rotors turned and what about repacking the front wheel bearings too?

First, look under the truck to see if a limb, small or large is hung up under the truck. Second, there is a water shield on the hubs that prevents water from splashing into the area where the brake pads and shoes are. Sometimes this shield gets bent too close to the drum and rubs making the squeaking sound. Fourth, I'm not sure how you know it isn't the brakes but check this. As brake pads and shoes wear down, there is a piece of metal that will eventually come in contact with the drum or rotor making a squeaking sound.

It would help if you had stated what type truck it was, how old it was and so forth. Is it a 4x4, is it old and such. Good luck. Pops

Its the brakes. That is the most common squeak! How do you know that they are not the brakes? Well, this is a quick way to tell...... While driving the truck, lightly tap on your brakes using various pressure to try to make the squeaking stop. If it stops, then yea, it is your brakes. I am assuming that you say it is not the brakes because you must have just had them replaced. But even new brakes could start to squeak once they get glazed over. They might even have a small rock stuck in them! Other than the brakes, It is difficult to say what the squeak might be without driving the truck. But I am saying that it is more than likely the brakes.

Are you sure it not the brakes , .

Brake pads have wear tabs. When the pads wear out they will make a constant metal to metal grinding sound when rolling.

Jack the truck up and spin the wheels by hand to see if you can tell where the noise is coming from.

If you have rear drum brakes you could have something inside the drum making the noise. dirt ,rocks broken brake spring etc.
Good luck.

Could be ball joints. Suspension parts, axles, etc. Could even be as simple as the noise clip on your brake pads.

Your brakes might not be low but the sensor might be making noise warning you they are getting low.

If it is a high pitched squeak then I would look towards brakes and belts...rare a belt will stop making noise when you stop but can happen due to torque.

If it is a squeak like a jumping up and down on the bed squeak then I would look into suspension, shocks, struts, bushings, etc.

Get a can of tire shine, liquid spray or even a can of WD40 and spray down your suspension parts, bushings, shock towers, etc and see if the noise goes away. One way to track down the issue.

Sorry but that sounds like your brakes. The brake pads are wearing down. That's why you hear the noise while the truck is moving.

it sounds like a universal joint going dry on grease on it,,this will do what your describing, also a wheel bearing will make one do this,,it has to be a moving part,,because lie you said it stops when the vehicle stops, moving, and it being that new of a vehicle isn't it covered by warranty still,,if so id have the dealer check it out real good if it is under warranty,,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.,i own a repair shop,,and have ran across some weird sounds from some very new vehicles that turned out to be minor things, but you never know ,good luck.

Check your wheel bearings. Does the squeaking stop when you hit your brakes?

From a different angle: mice squeak so far I know. And sometimes they inhabit engines! Perhaps there's one complaining about your speed! As soon as you stop, he/she is happy. Just a guess.

It's a Toyota. Lift the radiator cap and drive a real truck under it, an American truck.
