I've heard of them, but never seen one. The Noth American Nice Guy. You know, you hear about them all the time, they are supposed to be mature, stable, independent, responsible, passionate and caring...but sightings are few and far between.
Do they really exist? Or is this just another silly Old Wive's Tale?
I must KNOW!!!!

Just a quick remark about the age thing...I've dated 20 year olds and I've dated 60 year olds...maturity does NOT come with age.

Nice guys are probably those dumpy shy guys you overlook when you go after the hot hunky guys who are used to the attention and hence have an ego the size of texas. They're the flip-side of the hot girl who knows she's hot and is a demanding beeyatch from hell.

Nice guys are shy so you don't notice them as much. They don't have that cocky attitude that low selfsteem girls with social aspirations mistake for confidence. They often get passed over because they don't appear to have anything to offer. Also they get mistaken for wimps which some of them are.

Keep in mind a number of jerks were once nice guys who got used and abused, passed over and neglected because they were too nice so you have some of your sisters to blame for their scarcity.

Darlin' they really do exist and although we do seem to be a rare breed anymore, there are still a few of us left in the world. Problem is, most women don't want a nice guy, they want a bad boy. Some women have dated me thinking I would be a hell raiser because I ride bikes and drive a semi, but they are disappointed when they find out I get high off of nature instead of drugs. That and being a Christian turns a few off pretty quick. But we really aren't just an old wives tale. So, I ask you, are there any good women left in the world that are ladies? Or is it just a myth? Or such a rarity that all of the good ones have been taken?
God Bless. ;-)

I've been described as a nice guy, and I'm a North American. That said; I don't think we are all that rare - I know lots of good people who I think are much nicer and much more admirable than I am. In my life the evidence is pretty good that nice guys and girls -do- exist and are not that rare. I would guess you may just have had some bad luck and maybe some bad experiences lately, and that you will probably meet a "nice guy" any day now. Good luck in your search!

I have in no way heard of an encantado before, and ought to like to analyze them. They sound exciting, and that's a efficient breath of unpolluted air from the common fairy/vampire/werewolf/dragon topic happening those days. My different selection can be a phoenix - i have been in love with them ever considering Harry Potter 2, yet regrettably do not see them round too a lot.

I use to have one of them, but I gave it everything and lost it. You can know its them buy the balled fat apprise. Also the dumb looking walk. Some of them are Stinky but there all nice. Until you go out with them, which triggers the next part of there development. Like a tad poll to a frog they go from begging a nice guy to being lazy and boring. Only to wait for the next stage which is triggered by the braking up. This is that sad stalker guy stage, and then back to the nice guy again to be started once more.

This it the circle of the nice guy and so is the circle of life...

They do exist but we are an extremely rare breed. However with patience and perseverance we can be found. Many of us known to go to church(hence the responsible and caring side of our nature) but we also can be found at other hideouts such as the laundramat and the Home Depot. However I've already been taken by wonderful woman so all I can say is happy hunting

Yes they are a rare breed. its one that knows how to interpet what a female really means when she asks a question with out making like a male and giving reasons why and what to do.
But rember that perfection is a goal that is seldom met and if met seldom lasts.
So even the best seeming match will on ocassion fall a bit short . this goes for both sexes.

From a British point of view I can only speak for my brother Married by 20, 3 children and still happy as are the family. He still found time to care for me in my crisis time. My partner had died, her family treated her remains cruelly and drove me to despair. An accident with a heater left me with terrible burns to my arms. He got help and later after my mental and physical collapse saw that I got the best treatment. I owe him my sanity and life.
