bed I stiffen up and am so uncomfortable it is really hard. My husband finally agrees to get a pillow top pad, but I was wondering if those really help or not. And if so which are the best ones to buy?

oh yeah. There really comfortable. If you don't like it you can get those foam egg carton-looking pads too. They're cheaper than the pillow top pads. Have you ever slept on a down comforter?

Try a foam mattress pad over the bed first to see if it is better.

matress pads only last for so long,I found a lil thrift store that sold beds for cheap and bought a $2,000 bed for like $500 and it is king size,best thing I've ever done.
