First of all, omg, don't do the buying stuff behind the back thing. Yea, not so good. Parents tend to get annoyed/mad that you've done something without asking them first.
I think that you could start off by saying that you're older and more mature, and that you'd like to look that way, or something to that effect...but I really would suggest not starting out with the black eyeliner. I know with my parents the dark eyeliner was something they didn't like too much. It might be better to start off light; maybe with a brown eyeliner.
It looks just as good, but parents are less likely to freak out about it.
14 is old enough for your parents to realize that you want to wear some makeup, so I think you're good. Just bring it up casually and if they do say no, wait for a month or so, and then bring it up again
good luck!

Back off the black eyeliner. If you want a natual look, try the Almay I-Color line. Depending on what your eyecolor is, it will look great without you looking all made up. The Hazel combination does have black eyeliner, but you can use a deep plum instead and it will look just as nice. Moms have a hard time watching their "little girls" grow up, so try to understand what she is feeling when you ask to wear makeup. Also, what may work is if you go on to Cover Girls website and play around on their virtual model page. If you show mom the different looks based on your complexion, she may soften up a little about the makeup. Sometimes if you compromise, it will make the situation easier.

I think the problem may be that you are asking to wear eyeliner. It can look much too harsh on a girl of your age. Instead, ask your mother what makeup she would consider letting you wear and ask if she will go with you to pick some out. She'll probably be happy to buy you some lip gloss, etc.

Don't start with eyeliner; start with powder base. A natural shade. Just go for natural shades, then ask for black eyeliner and say it would make your eyes pop and look good. Or try a charcoal gray shade, when you put it on right, it looks black.

Just ask. I was scared to ask too, but when I finally did ask my mom was actually excited to help me. It might be a bit intimidating, but the worst she can say is no. My mom was very excited and helpful when I asked to wear makeup. If shes says no, just except it, don't throw a fit, and ask again in a few months. good Luck

Are you the oldest daughter in your family?? I am and I went through that too I'm 15, not much older, but I started with little girl things like clear not that shiny lip gloss, and very very light eyeshadow. My mom saw me getting ready to go to church one day, I was putting on my "make-up" and she pulled me aside and let me practice with her make up, and thats how I started wearing make up. You should just talk to your mom, she was your age once and trust me she will understand many things you didn't know she would, but only in time. Just try and remember you are beautiful inside and out, with or without makeup! :)

Don't start with eyliner. First ask for eyeshadow, then mascara, then blush, and then eyeliner. All you do is go to the make-up section and act very interested. Then say my friends say it will look pretty on me, or just plain out ask them. Build up the corage and just do it! GOOD LUCK!!!

Tell them you will show them that you will look nice. Try your mskeup on for them to prove that it looks appropriate (be sure that it does :) ). Every parent is different, but as a parent myself I feel 14 is old enough to wear makeup. Just be sure to start off light, to give thema chance to get used to it.
Good luck.

i think you should just go out, buy it and use it. if they have a problem with it, they'll confront you and you can tell them how you feel as if you're old enough to make decisions on make up or something and that you're not wearing it in an unreasonable manner. good luck.
