My daughter is 14 and is about 6 inches shorter than I am. I am wondering if she is going to catch up, or stay more petite like she is.

Well it depend's really. If it runs in the family you will continue to grow.Well i would preferably say that 15-16 is the age you stop growing depending on your family and so on.

OK, so here's my opinion, as a mom of 16, and 18 year old daughters...I was told that girls quit growing about a year after they start their period. This is just what happened with both my girls. Upon reflection, I started at 13 and was fully grown by 14. So, that holds true for me as well. I don't know, maybe it's just genetics, but I'm also 4-6 inches taller than either of my girls.

A girl/woman can grow up to the age of 25. I know, I grew 2 inches taller after I got married... and after my first baby.

I do not understand about 1 year after starting the menstrual period "idea".

A doctor's daughter I was in class with in high school said the 25 year old growth span and I believe it.

usually girls have abig growth spurt from ages 9-14 usually around the time they get their period. Thats usually the biggest growth spurt. But girls also grow a little when they are like 17 16 ish but its not as big as when your 9-14

Anytime between 16 and 21 I think. There isn't really a specific age, and all girls are different. It has a lot to do with genetics.
