Stepping on a 16 penny nail doesn't feel too good.. Especially when it comes all the way through the top of your foot! But yes, I also agree that stepping on a lego makes you want to shout loud!!

Broken glass would be the most logical answer, but, I'm surprised so many people are saying a nail. I've stepped on a rusty nail before, and didn't even realize it, until the board came up with my foot...lol. The most painful thing I ever stepped on was a pop-top from a drink can. I was barefoot, and walking on the beach.

While Lego is very painful, I found the worse was a toothpick left carelessly on the carpet and I managed to get it stuck in my barefoot in the middle of the night.

Jacks. Those things are shaped like the metal twists in barbed wire but aren't as flexible. Who needs those ninja star things they throw on the floor to cripple an opponent when a little kid's set of jacks does the job nicely.

I know how you feel, I stepped on a match box car about 15 years ago and still have damage to the middle of my foot.
