Hey Seven,

I have a few favorites - some also have websites. I've put my memories about prices next to their names:

Michel Richard Cafe $$-$$$
Bakery++++ Cafe+++

L'Orangerie $$$$-$$$$$
Fine Dining at it's best - Very Old Money Between Fairfax+W. Hollywood.

Melisse Restaurant $$$-$$$$
Out in Santa Monica. Food is Very traditional.

Four Oaks (Used to be called Bel Age) $$$$-$$$$$
Expensive! But it is in Bel Air and it's meant to be seen!

Le Petit Bistro $$-$$$
West Hollywood! Bring your little dog and sit in the patio. Cute but very Safe boy waiters, if you know what I mean

Le Petit Cafe $-$$
Santa Monica. It's a little more casual. Check -- the last time I was in the hood, they were opened some funky hours.

French Quarter $
West Hollywood. I don't consider anything EXCEPT the interior and the name to be French. Food is a step above Fast Food, but after reading some of the stuff here (People actually say Denny's is good....-:p ) So I've included it.

I hope I've helped more than I have hurt.

James (now) in San Diego.
