It's generally not 'alright' to attack people...
To 'hate' America is weird, I would be surprised if anyone knew enough about America to actually hate it.
Saying you 'hate' Americans is pretty extreme too. I mean, that would be to say you hate European caucasians, hispanic, native indian, indian, *****, black americans, islanders, chinese, korean, etc... Americans are pretty much a multicultural bunch these days.
If someone were so naive, ignorant and stupid to say they 'hate America', it's probably best to ignore them and walk away. Why be challenged by such a moronic statement?
Honestly, what does a statement like that mean exactly? It's a broad, non-specific statement that has taken no thought to produce. I reckon if you were to say 'what do you hate about America', they'd reply with something equally stupid like 'Everything, I hate everything'. Which just shows how little they know and how dumb they are.
(of course, the other side of that - if someone says something so dumb as a challenge - they're just asking for trouble.)

Do you attack your neighbour if they say they hate you, more so their kids and others innocent to the retoric? If you do, you will create a whole generation of hatred. Read the Corsican Brothers. It is about a war for generations that started over a silly chicken. After a time the people involved in the bitter hatred cannot even remember why they are hurling abuses at each other.

If it brings "freedom and democracy" to them.
Just kidding. This is America. We claim we don't attack people unless they attack us. If we attack everyone we think is a threat, then pretty soon, everyone really IS a threat, and we become our own worst nightmare, attacking our own dissenters within our borders.

No, they must violate one of many rules that are set in order for an attack to be considered on that country.

No, but I think we should have sent Chavez home instead of letting a man who prayed that the Americans would come down run around campaigning.

Why would you want to attack an ignorant person? They know not what they say. Let them be; they are just trying to provoke you.
By the way, speaking of ignorant... "alright" is not a word.

Freedom of Speech, remember. Is funny how this is one of the values that the U.S. is trying to "promote" in the middle east, yet people freak out when they do excersise it. Its a double standard, I think

To physically hurt them that would be wrong (even thou they might need it) & someone could go to jail for it. But to verbally attack them and their character go for it. If you do not like AMERICA go somewhere else.
