I have a DVD that contains a barcode I made thru my UCC membership. The DVD is selling well on Amazon. Today, I tried to take the DVD to a local video store that buys and sells used DVDs, just to get it on a store shelf. The store clerk said he couldn't accept the DVD, because when he scanned it's barcode, it didn't show up in the computer system. So, how do I get my DVD, which is only sold on Amazon and my site, to show up "in the system".

This is done at the company level. You'd have to contact the company (MovieStop, Best Buy, or whatever) to get the UPC added to the list in their software.

It's because companies don't rely on just the UPC -- they may have an internal SKU number system that they need to attach the product to. Until the information is added to their database, it will simply show up as a product that they don't sell.

Any company you would want to accept it would have to put it in their system.
