it will not effect your pregnancy but it will effect your navel once your belly starts to get bigger. the hole may strech(depending how big you get) and could have a chance of rejecting (your body pushing out the piece of jewelry, messing up your navel) I would take it out once your stomach starts to grow. I have shopped for navel rings online and have seen some designed for pregnant women.
phew after 20 minutes heres the best website i could find! for a pregnant belly button ring http://www.painfulpleasures.com/xcart/customer/product.php?productid=101&cat=0&page=1
I also read elsewhere only you can wear your navel ring up to 6 months into your pregnancy (but im not sure if id want to risk havng it in that long =p) and you can take it out and thread a fishing line through it. not sure if that works or not! i would think that the hole would shrink in size after a few months or somethign but its always worth a shot!
I wouldnt risk screwing up your navel and just buy the jewelry (even though it doesnt look all that attractive) lol
A friend at work had her navel pierced and showed it to me after she had her baby and everything was stretch and it looked liek a big scar. it looked very unattractive. =( )
good luck =)

Not a chance. Pregnancy is affected by what goes on INSIDE...but if you have a belly button ring and get pregnant, you can buy these teflon belly button rings that keep your piercing and stretch with your tummy as you grow :-)

I think so b'cos i never have any belly button ring but all what i know is that as pregnancy get bigger the more your belly button will be growing more larger, my advise for u is to remove it to save the baby from any danger.

You might want to take it out when your belly starts getting big. Sometimes it seems like that happens overnight. Also if you have an itchy belly be careful not to catch the belly ring and rip it out.

you don't have to take it out, but as your belly grows your belly button will begin to poke out and it may become very uncomfortable, also the doctor is goin to make you remove it before you are able to deliver anyways, just in case you have to have an emergency c-section or something like that so it might be easier to go ahead and remove it now, just a thought! congrats!

I had to take mine out at about 5 months. My belly started to stretch too much. Shouldn't affect the pregnancy itself, just the piercing.

I guess people already said this but, you don't have to take it out. I left mine in, I don't think it matters if you take it out or not, it's still going to look really stretched and funky after. My hole never went back to normal. I wish I'd known before I got it...what do you know when you're 18 though. Oh well.

I did take mine out, and now my belly button looks crazy where the hole stretched and didn't go back to normal. My sister in law took hers out as well, but her hole doesn't look like mine.
