I've noticed that there are many books that have to do with star wars. I've only seen the films, and i was wondering what are the other books out there that go beyond the movie? i don't want any of the guides to anything, i just want the books that continue, or expand on the movie(meaning between episodes or after the movies ended) So could someone give me the list of book titles of books that go further than the movies, or a place i can find them. best answer will get 10 points.

some expand beyond EP 6, some are before EP 1. Some fill the gaps, some tell the story from another perspective. Just go into any book store and look under the star wars catogory and you will find many many books like that

the original books are what the movie was based off of. they're are thousands upon thousands of spin offs. the books tell way more than the movies get into so definately pick them all up. the first is written by a different author but the rest are based off of george lucas's ideas and notes. The collection authorized by lucas is written by Del Ray. I haven't read them but my Best friend loves that stuff and has read them all. i love the movies, i used to hate them till i realized that the story was much deeper than a fight to save the galaxy. Their is romance, political conflicts, and issues that touch on the essence of human nature. its pretty deep. i hope u find them and enjoy them.

Wow...that's a big question. There are literally hundreds of books and comics out there that continue the saga. It begins thousounds of years before A New Hope, to hundreds of years after Return of the Jedi. If you want, I can e-mail you my spreadsheet I've compiled over the years...just contact me. May the Force be with you!

i read a few of them. 'the courtship of princess leia' was interesting. and there was a 3 book series called 'heir to the empire'. each were set right after jedi. sort of the aftermath of the victory over the empire.
there are probably 1,000 others. but those 4 were pretty good in my mind.

Including the comics, children's, an occassional e-book, and full novels:

It's not quite 100%, but it's got to be pretty close.
