I am travelling to Europe (zurich, Milan, Venice) next week, would like to know what type of adaptor to use for my camera, handphone. kindly provide "links" or "photoes" of it (i know it is a round type one but never see it before).

Would like to buy a cheap adaptor to use at my neighbourhood so no need to buy a complete set of adaptor to keep.

thk

European outlets have two forks, but different voltage (220V). So, you will need an adapter plug and possibly voltage adapter/ conveter. Some of the electronic devices (e.g. laptops) already come with the adapter. However, if you are planning to bring any other electronics such as blow dryer or cell phone charger, you would need a plug with a voltage conveter. So, for those things with voltage converters just buy a regular foreign adapter plug (there are even universal adapters for different countries - a sort of all in one). It will cost about $3 in radioshack or similar store. For your other electronics that do not come with voltage converters you need to buy Foreign travel AC conveter. It is usually priced around $30.
You can check this site for the samples of the described products. http://www.radioshack.com/family/index.j...

Here's a link to Magellans. They have a live help line that you can use to find out which kind to use. Switzerland and Italy use the same plug and Magellans sells them and could probably ship it before you leave.

They have 220V and 50Hz (cycles)
Check that your devices either can handle the whole range from 100V to 240V or that they are switchable. Also take plug adapters with you. They use two round pinned plugs
