I think I'd have to choose blind. That way, the other senses would grow stronger, and I wouldn't be able to make judgements about things by sight. Even though I couldn't see TV or videos anymore, I could still hear music, and I have enough of an artist's mind to be able to see colors and be able to feel textures that maybe eventually I wouldn't miss the eyesight.

If I had no choice in the matter? Deaf and I hope that it happened to me in a way that I am rich as well. But, that nothing happened to me causing any problems in my physical appearance or problems with others. What a horrible thing. This is like wishing bad luck.

I would much prefer to be deaf. I don't like a lot of noise as it is, and a lot of the time I wish I could just put people on mute anyway. I would miss music though.

Also, I think it would be a heck of a lot harder to live without your eyesight. No eyesight means no driving, no movies, no cute boys, no typing Yahoo answers! =)... no no no, that won't do.

Deaf because I could still see my family, friends, and my hunny bunny.

Also being deaf I wouldn't have to listen to bill collectors or some moron with his car stereo thumping outside my window at 2am in the morning.

I already pretty much am blind, so I would choose it. I don't think it's that bad, since I've never known any other way. I know other people can see lots of things I can't, but I count my blessings, and realize that I'm better off than lots of other people. I think the fear of the unknown also spurs my choice.

I would rather choose to be deaf. Eyes can read tongue's language. U can live in peace without any disturbance from others.

If I had to choose - maybe deaf. Because they have better technology for hearing loss than sight loss... But I love music and sound of people talking...I also love to be able to see and have the freedom of movement that seeing affords...
Really am glad to have both - feel blessed.
